Published by Hodder & Stoughton, London, 1994, 1st Edition, D/w, Fine.   Alison Hargreaves (1962-1995) was a British mountaineer.  In May 1995, she became the first woman to climb Everest solo without supplementary oxygen.  Her ambition in 1995 was to climb the 3 highest summits in the world, Everest, K2 and Kangchenjunga, in a single season.  After her Everest ascent, she joined an American expedition on K2, successfully reaching the summit in mid-August 1995, but sadly she died in a violent storm while descending from the peak, along with 6 other mountaineers.  This book is her account of solo climbing the 6 great north faces of the Alps in a single summer season – between 17th June and 24th August.  The title comes from the fact that her total climbing time across the 6 routes was less than 24 hours!
