Published by Odhams Press Ltd, London, 1958, 1st UK Edition, D/w (slight wear edges), V.G.   While studying at Cambridge, Tom Stobart (1914-1980), British cameraman, film-maker and author, made the decision to film original explorations.  He travelled widely, filmed in Antarctica, on safari in Africa, in crocodile-infested waters in the Gulf of Carpentaria and in the Himalayas.  He is notable for having shot The Conquest of Everest, the official film of the successful 1953 British Mount Everest Expedition. He had an extraordinary life, full of adventures.  Illustrated with black-and-white photographs.
