Galen Rowell (1940-2002) was an accomplished American mountaineer, wilderness photographer, author and adventure photojournalist, who was tragically killed, along with his wife, in a plane crash in California in 2002. Large format volume with the usual excellent colour photography from Rowell, one of the pre-eminent photographers of the outdoor world, who had travelled and photographed in Alaska for more than ten years.
