In 1970, Scot Christina Noble walked through the mountains from Simla to Kashmir and decided to set up a business organising trekking holidays in Manali, at the head of the Kullu valley in the Western Himalayas. For twenty years she has divided her time between Manali and London, with commitments growing along the way, from marriage, home-making, children and a growing number of staff. This autobiography tells of her life and work, and, being a Hindi speaker, painting a magical portrait of Kullu life with her detailed knowledge of the people, culture and religions of the area.
