Description

Published by Camden House Publishing, Canada, 1986, 1st Edition Paperback, Fine.   Large format paperback, very well illustrated, which traces Morrow’s journey to stand on top of the highest peaks on each of the world’s seven continents (‘The Seven Summits’).  Though Richard Bass was the first person to claim The Seven Summits in 1985, he included Kosciuszko in Australia (his list of summits now known as the Bass version), Canadian Morrow, a professional photographer and climber, was the first person to climb the harder list known as the Messner version, which includes the Carstenz Pyramid (or Puncak Jaya) in Indonesia.  The other six summits for both lists are the same, being Everest, Aconcagua, Kilimanjaro, Elbrus, Vinson and Denali (McKinley).
