This is a book about a man and his club, Geoff Hayes and the Oread Mountaineering Club. Geoff was killed whilst climbing at Dow Crag in the Lake District in 1971 and this volume both commemorates him and celebrates 25 years of The Oread. Well illustrated throughout, with a Foreword by Sir Jack Longland, then President of the Alpine Club. Front endpaper signed by more than 25 members of the club, including signatures of Doug Scott, Sir Jack Longland and Nat Allen.
