Published by Pic Publications, Glossop, 1988, 1st UK Edition, No D/w (not issued), Fine.   A numbered copy of a special signed edition of 250 copies in memory of Ken Milburn, signed by both authors.  This history is about the climbers of each generation, as selected by the authors, and allowing them to bring to life the events of the 100 year period from the first ascent of The Needle on Great Gable in 1886 to the mid-1980s, rather then being a straight factual history. As such, the remarkable climbers and anecdotes of each era take centre stage.  Perhaps controversially at the time, Chapel Head Scar is included as well as all the mountain crags.  Very well illustrated with copious full colour and black-and-white contemporary photographs.
