Published by The Mountaineers, Seattle USA, 1985, 1st US Edition, D/w, Fine. The Mount Everest Grand Circle Expedition achieved the first circumnavigation of Everest, over a four month period. It involved 300 miles of trekking, climbing and skiing at altitudes from 17,000 to 23,000 feet and included a first winter ascent of Pumori by an American team. Both authors completed the entire trip and were accompanied on various legs by Jim Bridwell, Rick Barker, Craig Calonica and Steve McKinney. The authors were joint leaders and Reynolds the only female member of the team – the writing was shared equally, hence there are different perspectives throughout the expedition, which makes for compelling reading.
