Published by Edgebrook Publishing / Vertebrate, 2012, 1st UK Edition, D/w, Nr.Fine. Jim Curran (1943 – 2016) was well known as a writer, film-maker, mountaineer, photographer and artist and this, his final book and rigorous self-portrait, pulls together all those strands with his usual humour and warmth. Large format and very well illustrated, it highlights the two great loves of his life, mountains and art, and regales with stories of mountaineering with leading lights including Chris Bonington, Joe Brown, Doug Scott and Alan Rouse. Curran wrote seven books, this being the last, and was shortlisted for The Boardman-Tasker Award for Mountain Literature no less than five times, including for this volume in 2012.
