Large format account of the successful Indian Army Expedition of 1977, the first to climb the North-East Spur of the world’s third highest mountain. Led by the author, Narinder (or Narendra) Kumar (1933-2020), this was only the second ascent of Kanchenjunga after the British first ascent in 1955, and by a difficult route that had defeated German Expeditions in 1929 and 1931.
