Published by Hodder and Stoughton, 1982, 1st Edition, D/w, Fine.   Signed by Chris Bonington.   The British Mount Kongur Expedition was the first to be allowed into China when that country started making mountains accessible again in the 1980s.  A reconnaissance expedition was mounted in 1980, followed by the main expedition in 1981 which successfully made the first ascent and put all 4 members of the climbing team on the summit, namely Bonington, Al Rouse, Pete Boardman and Joe Tasker.
