Published Chatto & Windus London, 1951 Reprint, D/w (grubby, sl nicks), sl.foxing, V.G.   Combining 2 of Spencer Chapman’s earlier books into a single volume, including the first ascent of the sacred mountain Chomolhari in 1937 by Chapman and Pasang Dawa Lama and their subsequent protracted descent.  Chapman was also a member of the British Mission to Tibet in 1936/7 and gives a fascinating insight into life in Tibet before the Chinese invasion in 1950.
