This is a collection of miscellaneous essays by Claud Schuster (1869-1956), a past president of The Alpine Club (1938-40). Most of the papers had been previously published in the Alpine Journal, the Climbers’ Club Journal, the British Ski Year Book, etc, though some are new. They include ‘Walks in the Pyrenees’, ‘Charles Wollaston (1849-1926)’, ‘Grindelwald to the Grimsel’ and ‘The Joys of Mountaineering’.
