Published by Methuen & Co, London, 1934, 3rd Edition (of the 1920 1st Edition), Insc, hinges a little weak, slight marks spine, No D/w, V.G. “Long regarded as a classic manual of mountaineering, this book also contains some of Young’s finest writing. He was a scholar, as well as a great climber, and one of the most influential figures in twentieth century British climbing.” (Neate). Though the bulk of the volume is by Young (essentially the first 400 pages of a 600 page volume), there are also contributions by Arnold Lunn on Ski Mountaineering, Sydney Spencer on Mountain Photography, A.F.R.
