Mountaineer and photographer Scanlan has produced this photographic study of Mt. Egmont (8,260 feet and now known as Mt Taranaki) on the west coast of New Zealand’s North Island. It consists of a short introductory chapter (11 pages) followed by 49 well-captioned black-and-white photographs of the mountain in all seasons and in a variety of aspects.
