Published by Vertebrate Publishing, 2014, Reprint of 2013 1st UK Edition, D/w, New Copy. The late Giles Barker first started work on this book in the late 1980s, spent more than a decade compiling interviews and material and was then tragically killed in a caving accident in 1992. Almost twenty years elapsed before Phil Kelly picked up where Giles left off, enlisted Graham Hoey to help, updated the manuscript, carried out more interviews and research, and wrote the chapters for the significant developments in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. They also drew on the knowledge of a team of experienced Peak District climbers, and the resulting history of Peak District climbing is the most comprehensive since Eric Byne and Geoff Sutton’s High Peak published in 1966. Coffee-table format, copiously illustrated.
