Published by Hodder & Stoughton, 1955, 1st Edition, D/w (frayed and rubbed, with small pieces missing top of spine), some light foxing, G./V.G.  The story of the 1954 Cambridge University Mountaineering Club’s expedition to the Karakoram with Rakaposhi as its objective. Though this expedition was unsuccessful, due to the weather conditions, Band had previously been the youngest member of John Hunt’s successful team on Everest and had achieved the first ascent of Kanchenjunga with Joe Brown.
