Wilberforce, early well-known exploratory Lake District mountaineer who was later made an honorary member of the Fell and Rock Climbing Club.   Owen Glynne Jones (1867-1899) was a Welsh rock-climber and mountaineer who was killed on the Dent Blanche.  This is the first volume of the classic Jones-Abraham trilogy, being followed by Rock-Climbing in North Wales (1906) by George D Abraham (1872-1965) and Rock-Climbing in Skye (1908) by Ashley P. Abraham.   O.G. Jones and the Abraham brothers did much to develop and popularise rock-climbing in the Lake District, North Wales and other parts of the British Isles.  With 30 full-page collotype illustrations and nine lithograph plate diagrams of the chief routes.
