Description

Published by New English Library, 1984, 1st Edition, slight label mark on title page, D/w, Fine.   To raise funds for the newly formed Intermediate Technology charity, in 1983 the Crane brothers ran the length of the Himalayas from Darjeeling in north-east India, through Nepal, to Rawalpindi in Pakistan. The statistics of their amazing run are impressive – over 2000 miles of mountainous terrain with a total ascent of nearly 300,000 feet in 101 days, the fastest foot traverse of the Himalayan range at the time.
