Published by Mills & Boon, London, No date but c. 1912 (1st Edition published in 1911), No D/w, cloth faded and some staining, slight foxing edges, Good.   George D. Abraham (1871-1965), along with his younger brother Ashley P. Abraham (1876-1951), were rock climbers, authors and photographers based in Keswick in the Lake District.  They were responsible, along with Owen Glynne Jones,  for producing the classic Jones-Abraham trilogy of Rock-Climbing in the English Lake District (1897) by Owen Glynne Jones (1867-1899), Rock-Climbing in North Wales (1906) by George, and Rock-Climbing in Skye (1908) by Ashley.  The Abraham brothers and O.G. Jones did much to develop and popularise rock-climbing in the Lake District, North Wales and other parts of the British Isles.  This volume is a companion volume to Abraham’s earlier  British Mountain Climbs (1909), and essentially covers The Bernese Oberland, The Pennine Alps and The Bernina Alps, illustrated by black-and-white photographs and line drawings.
