Autobiography of Eric Shipton (1907-77), arguably “the greatest mountain explorer of all time” (Neate). Though he took part in 5 Everest Expeditions, he is best known for his lightweight exploratory trips, mainly in the Himalayas and often with H.W.Tilman. In later years he explored and climbed in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.
