Tipped in letter from Lord Hunt (1910-1998) – RGS notepaper but from his Henley address, to Geoff Milburn (climber, author and previous owner of this volume), dated 1st November 1994 about the BMC Anniversary book, and simply signed ‘John’. The official account of the first ascent of Everest by Hillary and Tenzing on the British Mount Everest Expedition 1953, led by John Hunt, and the first book written about the climb, with the final assault section written by Hillary.
