Published by the Nottingham Climbers’ Club, 1966, 1st Edition, card covers, softback, a little light staining to covers, V.G.   The report of an expedition organised by the Nottingham Climbers’ Club (NCC), with two members of the Nottingham Association of Boys Clubs, to climb unclimbed mountains in the Cilo Dag Mountains in Turkish Kurdistan and to study the Kurdish communities who live there.  Doug Scott (1941-2020) was the de facto leader of the expedition, which “was designed for young people in Nottingham who had shown keenness and enterprise amongst British hills and on British crags”.  Six members of the NCC  were the organisers, namely Doug, Stephen Read, Richard Stroud, Tony Watts, Stephen Bowes and Michael Webster, with a further four adults and twenty teenagers.  The report is 42 pp, plus comprehensive appendices, 16 full-page black-and-white photographs in text, black-and-white photo covers, and 4 sketch maps.  Also included are 3 black-and-white original prints from the expedition, taken by Doug, two of which have been used in the report (one being the front cover), and one which was not included – all have descriptions on the back of the photos which appear to be in Doug’s handwriting.
