William T Palmer (1877-1954) was an English author who wrote extensively about the English Lake District and Wales, and was a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Alfred Heaton Cooper (1863-1929) was an acclaimed English watercolour artist, best known for his landscapes of the English Lake District and Norway and for illustrating a number of travel and climbing guidebooks .
