Fine.   Climbing with Russian mountaineers in the Caucasus, including a climb of Elbrus and other peaks. Apart from Joyce Dunsheath’s party, this was the first non-communist climbing in the region since World War II and took five years to obtain permission. The party included Alan Blackshaw and George Band.
