Boardman’s first book describes The Alpine-style ascent of Changabang’s West Wall, a remarkable lightweight 2-man first ascent of the formidable technical wall. The book was the winner of the John Llewelyn Rhys Literary Prize in 1979. Boardman, along with Joe Tasker, disappeared on the North East Ridge of Everest in 1982.
