Published by Thames and Hudson, London, 1985, 1st UK Edition, D/w, Fine.   When China began to open Tibet to foreign visitors in a limited way in 1980, mainly to Lhasa and Shigatse, Kevin Kling, a gifted young American photographer, managed to accompany two French geological expeditions into the heart of the real Tibet, covering thousands of miles to capture the images in this volume.  With 96 excellent quality illustrations, 91 in colour, this is a large format photo-album of Tibet in the early 1980’s.
