Aldo Starker Leopold (1913-1983) was an American author, forester, zoologist and conservationist, who was a professor at the University of California Berkeley for thirty years. Throughout his life, Leopold was active in numerous wildlife and conservation groups throughout the United States. This volume, with stunning colour photography by naturalist and professional wildlife photographer Tupper Ansel Blake, is divided into eight sections, namely The Legacy; The Deserts; The Great Basin; The Sierra Nevada; The Central Valley; Spanish California; The North Woods; and, California Farewell.
