Published by Cornish Brothers, Birmingham, (1948), 1st UK Edition, Insc, foxing edges, D/w (piece missing top of spine and smaller section missing at bottom of spine, wear edges, crudely price clipped), V.G. Prolific author (over 160 books published for adults and children) and climber Showell Styles (1908-2005) produced this, his first non-fiction book in 1948. The book, illustrated with twenty-five previously unpublished black-and-white photographs, describes twenty-four climbs in the Welsh mountains, collected in book form for the first time from Styles’s articles, which were originally published in the Birmingham Post under the pseudonym “S.S.”.
