Published by The Midland Association of Mountaineers, 1950, 1st Edition, case-bound, dark brown boards, some foxing title page and rear endpaper, 36 pp, 8 black-and-white photos, V.G. Originally completed for publication in the early part of the 1939/45 War, German bombers then destroyed the printing works and the manuscript was lost. It was re-written and eventually published as the first book that the M.A.M. ever published, with Showell Styles as its Editor – that remained the case until the M.A.M. produced a centenary publication in 2023.
