Published by The Percy Press, London, 1937, 1st UK Edition, slight fading spine, a little foxing edges, D/w (small tears and wear at edges), V.G.   Description of the five Everest Expeditions which had taken place prior to its publication (1921, 1922, 1924, 1933, 1936), along with accounts of other notable climbs on Kanchenjunga, Nanda Devi and Nanga Parbat, a chapter on the Houston Mount Everest flying expedition, and a short bibliography.  Aimed at a younger audience.  Illustrated with black-and-white photographs.  Somervell, who wrote the Foreword, took part in the 1922 and 1924 Expeditions as a lead climber, achieving a height record in 1922 with Mallory of 8,170 metres and accompanied Norton, taking a famous photograph, when Norton reached a new altitude record of 8,570 metres in 1924.
