Fine.  German Language Edition.    Following the success of his classic Himalayas volume, published originally in 1971, Shirakawa, Japan’s leading landscape photographer, turns his attention to The Alps.  This large format publication presents 56 full-page colour plates, of which 40 are double-page spreads, all selected from the best of those taken over fifteen visits to the European Alps from Chamonix in the west to Innsbruck in the east, and from the Zugspitze in the north to the Dolomites in the south.
