Published by Superior Publishing Co, Seattle, 1967, 1st US Edition, cloth dull and edges a little worn, V.G.    Josef Scaylea (1913-2004) was the award winning Chief Photographer for the Seattle Times for over 35 years.  This very large (35 x 34 cms) volume consists of a brief introduction, followed by 48 of Scaylea’s fine black-and-white photographs of Mount Rainier (14,415 feet) in the Cascade Range of the Pacific Northwest.  The photographs were selected from hundreds taken over a five year period in order to capture all the moods of the mountain.
