A large-format, superbly photographed, beautifully illustrated and well written chronicle of the 1993/94 Norwegian expedition to the mountains of Queen Maud Land, the Norwegian sector of Antarctica, with the highlight being the first ascent of the technical and challenging Ulvetanna (2,930 metres) by the North West face by Robert Caspersen, Sjur Nesheim and the author on 2nd February 1994. In addition to the fine colour photographs, the book is illustrated by the paintings of expedition member and well-known Norwegian artist Vebjorn Sand.le
