Description

Published by Willow Books/Collins, London, 1984, 1st UK Edition, Insc, D/w (slight nick top of spine), Nr.Fine.   Climber and photographer David Jones has compiled a large format volume which illustrates the diversity and challenge of rock climbing in Britain.  The essence of the book is 100 full-page colour photographs of rock climbs which get progressively harder as you go through the book, starting with The Snowdon Horseshoe (barely a scramble) and finishing with The Bells, The Bells (E7, 6b), with approximately the first third being below E1, the next third up to E3 and the remainder E4 and above.  Prior to the photographs, the book has sections on Grading, History, Gear, Climbing Walls, Training and Bouldering.
