A stunning large format landscape volume of all of Frank Hurley’s iconic photographs from the Shackleton Endurance Expedition, pulled together into one volume for the first time. Images are from the archives of The Royal Geographical Society, The State Library of New South Wales, Sydney, and The Scott Polar Research Institute in Cambridge, U.K.. The quality of the 400 plus images recording this most remarkable survival story is stunning, given the circumstances and the conditions under which Hurley was working.
