Signed Copy: This copy is signed on the title page by Tony Streather (1926-2018), who was the leader of the expedition.  Streather was an army officer and very experienced Himalayan mountaineer.  He made the first ascent of Tirich Mir in 1950 on Arne Naess’s Norwegian-British Expedition, and on the 1955 British Kangchenjunga Expedition, led by Charles Evans, he summited with Norman Hardie the day after George Band and Joe Brown made the first ascent.  He also led the successful 1976 British/Nepalese Army Expedition which put Bronco Lane and Brummie Stokes on the summit.
