Description

Published by George Allen & Unwin, London, 1954, 3rd Impression, D/w (slight wear edges, small tear top of spine, rub mark down spine), V.G.   John Pascoe (1908-1972) was a New Zealand mountaineer, photographer, writer, editor, historian and archivist.  This is the account of his pioneering climbs and explorations in the Southern Alps between the wars, including the difficult and inaccessible Mount Evans and his expeditions to the Adams Glacier Region.  With 34 black-and-white photographs by the author and a map, this is one of the classics of New Zealand mountaineering literature.
